Mary Oppenheimer Daughters
Mary Oppenheimer Daughters approached Giant Leap to design a working environment for their family office. The design brief was to create a space that is light and airy and had a feeling of home. As the family is steeped in tradition, they wanted a classical interior with the modernism of an office of today. The building is designed to soak up the best of the light and city views from the top floors. MODO has used the top floor for their Dining Room and Café featuring panoramic views of the tree-filled vistas of Johannesburg.
"The scope of work included constructing, overall design and space planning of the building. As expected, a project of this nature comes with its challenges, with this project it was the contraction of a stair case by cutting through concrete slabs, and that means a lot on engineering consultation and input. The team handled this complex task with such ease and always found workable solutions."
